‘Misogynist’ to appear in Iran theaters

Iran star-studded comedy ‘Misogynist’ by Karim Amini is set to release in Iranian cinemas in no time.

The flick costars Sam Derakhshani, Gohar Kheir-Andish, Bahareh Kian-Afshar, Behrang Alavi, Elnaz Habibi and Maryam Saadat.

The new Iranian cinema offering features the story of those who go from a misogynist to feminist, a short synopsis partly read.

A media report said the flick which criticized hardline feminists wrapped in acidic humor will soon replace box-office hit ‘Texas’ by Masoud Atyabi,

‘Texas’ has an action comic theme as well enjoying some foreign stars.

“Never threaten an Iranian, even in Texas,” a tagline from the flick says.

Pejman Jamshidi, Sam Derakhshani and Hamid Farrokhnejad star in the movie.
